Cursor, VS Code and other editors: VISCode over MCP
Editors with an agent speak MCP too. Add VISCode as a remote server and your agent can stream its work to a live map, run programs on a build server and turn any code into diagrams.

Headless or your own AI
- Make an access token in VISCode (Your account → Connected AI assistants) and send it as Authorization: Bearer.
- The official MCP SDKs, OpenAI's Responses API and Anthropic's Messages API connect the same way.
Questions
Does my editor need to open a browser?
Once, to approve the connection. Tools that cannot open a browser use a VISCode access token instead.
